Augmented realty (AR) is a virtual world connecting to the real world. AR can be used effectively in education. The following app is about a projector, a sandbox and a 3D kinetic camera. The projector projects an image to the sandbox. As the the landscape changes, the map also changes. The changes are detected by a 3D kinetic camera (Kinect 3D camera) .
As I serched for the details, it is affordable: the software is free, we need a 3D camera for about
$30, a sandbox, a projector and a PC. When is it going to be installed at the school? :-)
